Tibetan Coins



The first coins manufactured in Tibet were made of Silver and produced in ca. 1763. The minting of Tibetan coins continued, with some interuptions, until 1954. After 1910 the Tibetan Central Government minted a large number of coins of different denominations. Among these later coins are the coins pictured below.
